Dog Sled Adventures

Join us for one of life’s great adventures; cruising the back-country of northwest Montana pulled by Alaskan sled dogs. Tuck yourself into a soft, warm sled and let us guide you through one of America’s great wildernesses. The vast, scenic Stillwater State Forest begins at our doorstep, on the western flank of world-famous Glacier National Park, just north of the winter resort of Whitefish, Montana in the magnificent Flathead Valley.

Mush your own team! Unlike most dogsledding outfits, Base Camp Dogsledding, provides a “hands on” approach allowing you, the participant, the opportunity to drive your own team of our friendly and hard working Inuit Sled Dogs. You can become as involved with the experience as you choose, which also includes harnessing and caring for your team. All of our trips are customized to your wants, needs, and abilities.

In lieu of hiking boots, strap on snowshoes and join a ranger for a 2 hour snowshoe in the Apgar area. Take an intimate look at the park searching for signs of wildlife, discovering plants and animals, and enjoying the solitude of winter during this unique experience.
